IX7512 Project Management for Business Administration – blended

The blended format (one day face-to-face, online training and team work, one day face-to-face).

Course approach

This course is a combination of:

  • face-to-face presentation,
  • labs run individually,
  • case studies (by groups of two students),
  • discussions,
  • e-learning,
  • team works (by groups of four students).

This course is an opportunity for students to review cases, but also to create their own cases.

Learning Outcomes

IX7512-LO1:

  • Review and analyse tools to review project definition, plan and performance.

IX7512-LO2:

  • Evaluate communication approach for project tactical steering and direction.

Expected Student Learning Task

Total Learning time 36 hours:

  • 14 hours contact time,
  • 7 hours online study,
  • 15 hours independent study (team project construction and review).

Students are expected to attend all lectures/seminars and review engage with online learning resources.

Assessment

Learning outcome IX7512-LO1 is assessed through:

  • successful participation in the course labs, case studies and online modules (25%),
  • final Multiple Choice Questionnaire (25%).

Learning outcome IX7512-LO2 is assessed through:

  • a group presentation (20 minutes presentation and 5 minutes Q&A) of a project plan (25%),
  • a group evaluation of project plan proposals (presented by other groups) (25%).

IX7512-C1.1: Introduction to project management

  • Participation in presentations and discussions.
  • Exchange of experience.

IX7512-C1.2: Review of project plan construction

  • Two to three students per team for the case study.
  • Participation in presentations and case study.
  • Participation in review of results.

IX7512-C1.3: Construction of team projects

  • Identification of teams and team building.
